NGE: Hikari's Dilemma

Posted by Cyberframe - January 2nd, 2021

So, I'm a HUGE Evangelion fan. It's the show that got me into anime in the first place, and it's stuck with me all these years. Despite, that, I've done precious few Evangelion related animations. So I'm super happy to finally be able to release this!

This is the first minute of Neon Genital Evangelion: Hikari's Dilemma, the culmination of a bunch of shots AEHentai has been working on these past few months (in between shots for his Star Trek Voyager animation: Voyage for Poon).

Sometime in 2019, we started working on a short Evangelion comic. AEHentai wrote out the script and did the rough page layout, and Cyberunique drew the art for it. It was called "Under Pressure" (not the greatest name), and was a Futa on Female comic featuring Asuka and Hikari. We finally finished it and put it up for sale on the Cyberframe Gumroad store in March 2020.

Occasionally, we do little experiments to test out new animation techniques or styles. A couple of months after we released the comic, AEHentai had the idea of doing some rough animation in After Effects, rendering out the animation, and then re-inking over it frame by frame, yielding this shot:

One massive stroke of hubris later, and we have the full intro animated. There's still a long ways to go, but we'll get it done one way or another, fan content guidelines be damned...

The whole project is about 20% done. If you want to support the project, please consider becoming a patron (if you aren't already), or sharing the video around (in acceptable places) to drum up support!

You can get the original comic "Under Pressure" over on Gumroad, and if you want to help support the production of the rest of the animation over on Patreon, either on Cyberframe or AEHentai.
